Worse yet, Kerrison is back in Canberra, Andy. You're fucked.

I went for a run up Feathertop and Hotham on Saturday. A balmy sunny
day with barely a cloud in the sky.

Although last year we had a bit of a dump in late May and then nothing
for the rest of the winter... Who knows how it'll fall (if at all) this
winter. There's always NZ if you get desperate. :)

Looks like NZ then.

But have you seen the reports of the receeding glaciers here with
repors that they will never return in our lifetime?

Yup, sure have. Mixed alpine climbing has developped for a reason
y'know. ;) There's still plenty of snow in Mt Cook NP over summer.

But seriously, there's a stack of cheap flights over the Tasman, there's
more snow and lift passes are cheaper. It's no surprise people in Perth
are saying "Hm, 4 hour flight or 7 hour flight?", is it...

Who knows - June/July are never anything special here in Australia. Peak
snow depth generally doesn't hit until late July. Keep your fingers
crossed!
