I'll be going up for the first time on snowshoes this Sunday. I was up
hiking last weekend without snowshoes and the snow got to deep to go any
higher.
Here's a video of me snowshoeing the end of last winter:

Yep, fun sometimes.

Good luck.
Our season was not that good this year, and I had a bit of an accident that
required 30 stitches in 3 layers to fix. But I managed to self-rescue,
rather than call for a chopper. Cut the trip short though ...

Hi Roger,
Ouch, three layers must mean some internal injuries...
We actually have a storm coming in tomorrow, so It will be snowing
all day and the main part of the storm will hit in the afternoon. Sounds
like a quite day in the woods.

Sliced side of knee open to the bone.
No cut arteries, no damaged ligaments or tendons to speak of, now back to
hard walking.
The fall was bad luck (or poor judgement!); the lack of consequences was
incredible.
C'est la vie.

Cheers
Roger
