My fellow AmeriKKKansT,
After watchging a recent controversial TV special on the subject of the
lunar landings, I became nearly convinced that we (the US) never landed on
the moon.
There are just too many discrepencies that have not been accounted for.
The wealth of evidence and information provided in this website and in the
videos are compelling. How come NASA has not come up with any reasonable
explanantions for these exceptional anomalies?
The most compelling of all, in my opinion, is not even so much the photos
which many seem doctored, or the glaring inconsistencies between the
videotape footage and photos, but the US flag fluttering in such a way that
the grinding of the pole could not have caused.
Also, why the heck was there NO mention of the sight of the stars by the
astronauts?
Does not make sense.
Also, were those spacesuits really air-conditioned to the pont where it
would have protected the men from searing heat (250 degrees F)?
Did we have the technology back then to invent such a cooling system? I
think not.

One old thread on this years ago had someone doing the math, and figuring you needed a mirror 2
miles wide.

But think of What you've seen of spy satellites and their telescopes. What is the resolution of
those? Consider those are about 22000 miles up. Now, we're dealing with something 250,000 miles away
(yes, I'm rounding off), trying to catch something 4m across (the largest object, the lunar lander
base, rather than the tiny flag you suggested).

Right. The Russians at the time had an excellent space program far
more efficient than that of the US. The Russians were more than able to
monitor all US space operations. In fact, for military reasons they had
an essential need to do so. If the US faked the moon landings the
Russians would have known. And, could have easily proved it with an
orbital satellite around the moon imaging where the US claimed it
landed.

After watchging a recent controversial TV special on the subject of the
lunar landings, I became nearly convinced that we (the US) never landed on
the moon.

I'll do a basic point by point. This thing comes up once and a while, but anyone with any knowledge
of science past middle school knows that the hoax theory is itself a hoax. The only controversy of
such "specials" is that they get on the air, and the educational system in this country is such that
people actually believe them.

rebuttal. But plenty of NASA scientists, and plenty of people knowledgable in the science involved
are on the record, and created web sites and books, debunking the hoax hoax.

There is no video footage of the flag fluttering on its own. In all cases, there is some force
acting upon it - either an astronaut handling the pole, or the lunar lander launching. Please locate
a single video showing otherwise.

Also, while you didn't go into details, I have to say there are no problems with the photos. You
don't even have to know space to understand them, just photography. No Stars? Light levels and
shutter speed. Reference markers going "behind" objects? Trick played by contrast in the film.
"Diverging" shadows? Uneven terrain. There is a logical explaination behind all of them, but quite
illogical ones to explain how it is a hoax.

I don't know every transcript, but I recall talk of stars. Usually, though, they could be tough to
see - if the local light around you is too bright, it will drown out the very, very faint light of
stars. That's why it's difficult in, or even near, and urban area to see stars. All moon landings
were in "daylight" on the moon, which would have made it difficult (there are stars out at high
noon, why don't you see them?).

I think the conspiracy/hoax ideas are all over the place, and to actually account for everything
being a hoax is 100 times more difficult and illogical than actually going. Why are there no stars
in the photographs? Because lighting conditions and the photography equipment led to them not
getting enough exposure to show up on the film? Or because NASA, as part of an elaborate hoax,
completely forgot about them, even though due to every Buck Rodgers movie to that date led the
public to believe they'd see a full sky of stars? Every point has similar options - a simple
explaination that supports the moon landing, or an overly complicated or illogical one that would
need to be true for it to be a hoax.
